This kit is a 25m electric fencing net for chickens and a powerful battery energser to power it.

The net is a 25m length of our Flexinet poultry netting which has been a top seller for years.It's olive green so it blends into the background well and when energised will keep your birds enclosed and protect them from fox attack.

There are 12 horizontal polywires in the net with 1 of them having steel conductors running through. The bottom line has no conductors as this touches the ground and would earth out the fence if powered. These lines all meet at both end posts and rise up the posts and form a tail (click on "enlarge image" below) where they are cliped together. This allows the energisers pulse to conduct to all steel strands even if there is a break somewhere on the line and the clip allows additional nets to be joined with a perfect physical and electrical connection.

The netting is 105cm high and has 9 posts in it and mor eare available if needbe. There is also a small repair kit in with the net with some spare bts & bobs that'll come in handy if you damage your fence.

The energiser is a HotShock A8 from Horizont which is new on the market after over a year in development. This has a slightly higher voltage than most other fencers in it range and is suitable to power 2 x 50m electric poultry nets so there is plenty scope for expanding your chicken run without having to upgrade your energiser. In theory this energiser will power 3 x 50m but we tend to err on the side of caution when using nets.

It comes with an earth stake which should be pushed frmly into the ground and all connection leads to attach it to your 12v battery,the fence and the earth stake.

To set your chicken pen up the netting should be placed in position with all spikes firmly in the ground. The energiser is ideally hooked onto a post or hung up with the live (red) lead going from the powwer terminal on the front of theunit to thefence and the black lead going from the black (earth) terminal to the earth stake. The battery connection cables should be attached to the corresponding terminals on a 12v battery.

The energiser comes with comprehensive instructions as to how to set your fencer up we put a small tester in with the kit so you know it's working well.

Please Note: We now have in stock our EXTRA STRONG POULTRY NETTING CORNER POSTS which provide excellent support for the corners of the netting and can provide a gateway too. While the flexiposts used throughout the net are fine for keeping the net supported they are not as robust at keeping the netting taught at the corners so some customers have used these with excellent results. By adding these EXTRA THICK & DOUBLE SPIKED POSTS to the corners they considerably help keeping the poultry netting from sagging. Also by putting an addition extra strong post about 1m from the end, you can open and close your electric net without releasing any tension anywhere along the line.
