This is quite a nifty thing. It's in the same casing as the
volt alarm
but works in the opposite way.
You clip it onto the fence and it picks up the current from a sensor at the back and the green light flashes with every pulse from the energiser. If there is a leakage on the line or the power falls
below 2000v
it will stop flashing.
This is particularly suitable for people with electric chicken nets or where the fence is keeping animlas away from a certian areas and the fences are not routinely checked. You can glance at his indicator in the grey-dark and see instantly whethre the power is flowing as it should and whether the fenced off area is secure.
The flashing can also act as a deterant and when used with chicken nets, should be placed near gateways or sections that are vulnerable to compromise.
