At last there is an energiser that will power a medium lengths of fencing without compromising on power output and at a modest price.

The HotShock A8 is new on the market this year and is already our topseller for electrifying netting and horse fences. The unit gives out over 7500v and even after the usual line resistance of 500ohms this fencer will still give out over 4,500v.

This high voltage output makes it the ideal choice for more insulated animals. Sheep and stubborn horses and horses wearing rugs all learn to respect a fence powered by this energiser.

This will power an electric fence of around 3km and has a high enough voltage to knock back slight growth along the line. It cannot burn through a jungle but light growth will not present a problem.

It comes with an earth stake and can either be mounted on that or to another post (recommended) and attached to the earth stake with one of the connection leads it comes with. This gives the earth stake more contact with moist soil which will improve the currents return to the energisr giving the animal a better jolt in drier conditions.

Our Opinion

A terrific energiser that certainly packs a punch and at a great price. It's higher voltage output can only be a good thing for those with stubborn animals and those using it with netting.
