The Gemini series from Hotline Electric Fencing is new to us this year and have proved themselves to be very popular. This is a dual powered energiser which is a battery energiser that has a mains adapter to allow it to work from the mains making it a very versatile machine.

This model has 0.8 OUTPUT JOULES which will power a 8km electric fence. Under normal line resistance levels of 500 Ohms it will still put a 4,200v pulse throught the fence so it's perfect for medium length horse fences. It will also power 3 poultry nets and up to 10 sheep electric nets

The mains adapter that's included is a bit like a mobile phone charger and just plugs into the side of the energiser. Although the unit is fully water-proof and designed for being out in all weathers, like all mains units, it must be housed indoors when being powered by the mains.

It comes with all the required leads to attach to a battery and to an earth stake (not included) and to the electric fenceline itself but as when it's mounted in an outhouse the distance to an earthstake and to the fence are variable, any additional insulated cable will need the be bought here.

Ideal for the person who powers a remote fence during part of the year and likes the flexability of powering the fence from the mains if it's available at other times.

Our Opinion : Great medium length fencer which is perfect for almost every type of electric fence there is. Very well priced and with the upgraded power output from last years versions (check when making comparisons elsewhere) this has to be one of the best models on the market.
