A very competant clipper added to the Liveryman range last year. The Arena C130 is a mains operated, 130 watt motor that is ideal for full and partial clips of all horses.

The air intakes are at the base of the handle and draw the air in and over the motor to keep it cool at all times. The filters can easily be kept clear of trimmings by sliding them out, flicking the hair off and replacing them. The air also helps to keep the head of the clipper cool and blows over the blades in such a way that doesn't blow the clippings all over the operator!

It has 2300 double strokes per minute so it's pretty fast and the blades are A2 clipper blades which are a fairly common size so easily available if you need spares. The ones supplied on the clipper are Lister blades so you can be assured of good quality from the start.

The come in a hard plastic carry case with a bottle of oil and a small brush.

Our Opinion

Terrific clippers. Good gutsy motor with less noise than others. We held these in one hand and held other clippers of the same power in the other and the difference was marked. Ideal for nervous animals.
