This is a great combination for anyone wanting to keep chickens outdoors (or any poultry contained safely while having the freedom to move the scratching area around at will). The kit is simply one of our Green Flexinet electric fencing nets and a Forcefield BM140 12v battery fence energiser including all leads and a 1m earth stake.

The net comes with 15 posts and 12 horizontal wires with 11 of them being electrical conductors. The horizontal electric wires start off with 5cm spacings and after the first few, the gap increases until they are 20cm apart at the top.

The energiser is a 12v battery fence energiser with enough 'oomph' to power 7 nets and is ideally suited to the job. Just screw it to a post or tree (or even hang it up), attach the power leads to a 12v battery, the earth lead to the FREE 1m earth stake & the main power connection lead to the fence and that's it!

This powerful energiser can also be adapted to work from mains power with the adapter cable which simply plugs in and attaches to the leads. This gives you the flexability to energise the electric net, or any electric fence powered by the BM140, by the mains without having to buy another energiser at a later date. The 3 year guarantee that comes with the energiser shows just how reliable this electric poultry net kit is.

The only thing that this kit requires is a 12v leisure battery (a car battery will do but needs recharged on a more regular basis).

Please Note: We now have in stock our EXTRA STRONG POULTRY NETTING CORNER POSTS which provide excellent support for the corners of the netting and can provide a gateway too. While the flexiposts used throughout the net are fine for keeping the net supported they are not as robust at keeping the netting taught at the corners so some customers have used these with excellent results. By adding these EXTRA THICK & DOUBLE SPIKED POSTS to the corners they considerably help keeping the poultry netting from sagging. Also by putting an addition extra strong post about 1m from the end, you can open and close your electric net without releasing any tension anywhere along the line.
