This is the famous Wahl Avalon cordless with an additional wide blade and extra bottle of oil for far less than the RRP of the horse clipper alone.

The Avalon is a top quality portable "cordless" clipper, with a full strength belt mounted battery pack delivering up to 2.5 hours of cordless clipping with only a 3hr recharge.

The clipper blade that comes with the unit is the WIDE high carbon steel blade which gives a 2.3mm cut and has superior tooth geometry. T he additional blade in this package has a depth of 2.4mm. The comb and cutter are connected by a spring clip which hold them at the correct tension so no hand tensioning is required.

The battery pack clips onto the belt leaving your hands free to attend to your horse and the spring cable keeps the clippers safe with no trailing leads lying around.

Please note that this clipper has a 80 watt motor and while Wahl specify that this is suitable to do full and partial clips, this depends on how thick your horses coat is. We don't recommend it for hogging manes or clipping feathers. Please keep in mind that the Liveryman Harmony clipper has a slightly smaller motor and the Heiniger Cordless clipper and the Wolseley Merlin both have larger motors and are perfectly suited to the more arduous tasks a clipper may come up against.
