This is a spring for use in an electric fence gateway. It is 40mm in diameter and will open up to 4 - 5m wide and allow the power for a fence energiser through and effectively electrify the gateway.
If you have a couple of
gate handle insulators and a
gate handle then by adding one of these you can make a spring gate for your electric fence.
This is just the spare spring but if you want a ready made kit for your fence then they can be found
