This is a 25m length of our green chicken electric netting that has double spikes on EVERY post for extra grip in the ground.

Like all electric netting this chicken fencing has electric conductors running along the horizontal lines of the net except the very bottom line which sits on the ground.

Any animal comming in contact with the fence would touch a conductor and be given an electric shock making this a very effective barrier to foxes and other predators.

The vertical spacing between the bottom four holes is only 5cm so even young birds would struggle to get through that. As the net gets higher the gap between the horizontals widens to 10cm for th enext four holes then a couple at 15cm high then the top at 20cm.

The main difference between this and our other 25m poultry netting are the posts with the double spikes on the end. These give a far better grip in soil than the standard Flexi-posts. Single pronged spikes have a tendancy to move if much tension is put on the net which becomes apparent in the corners or when creating an enclosed area shaped with a curve in it. If it's a square poultry run you're after then the regular single spiked nets are fine but if you want a circular run or similar then double spiked posts are far better to create odd shapes and maintain tension on the net and keep earth leakage to a minimum.

This net comes with 9 posts in it as standard.

Additional double spiked Flexi-posts can be used to provide extra support if needbe or if your pen requires extra strong support then our EXTRA STRONG POSTS FOR CHICKEN NETTING may be ideal. One of these posts put in the net about 1m from an end can make a cheap and very effective gateway so you can just lift up the end post and gain access to your birds without lowering the tension on the rest of your fence.
