Delivery charges are calculated at the checkout and will depend on the size and weight of items in your order:
P&P costs start at £2.50 for postal orders, with small items under 1kg normally sent Royal Mail 1st Class. Clipper blades and other high value items will be sent Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 depending on your choice of delivery speed at checkout. Several postal items bought together may be sent by courier if their combined weight or value warrants this.
P&P costs for larger items start at £6.50 for courier delivery and will normally be sent by DPD / Interlink Express. Items over 1m length e.g. Tall Fence Posts or Poultry Nets will be sent by Parcelforce. We offer next day* delivery or 2-3 day delivery and this can be chosen at checkout.
Free Delivery - we often get asked why we don't offer free delivery over a certain order value. We strive to keep our prices as low as possible and for this reason we charge delivery separately ('free' delivery is inevitably built into the price of the goods!). We do subsidise delivery costs on larger orders and you won't be charged more than £8.95 MAX for any express delivery to mainland UK*
We will sometimes offer free delivery on particular items on promotion - the free delivery offer only applies to those items on promotion.
24hr and 48hr delivery basically means next working day and a 2-3 working day service. Working days are Monday - Friday & do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Orders dispatched on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday.
Delivery times are NOT GUARANTEED - 99% will arrive when they are meant to but as parcels go through many processes before arriving with the customer, things out-with our control can go wrong. The services used are not guaranteed and no money can be refunded if a parcel takes an extra day to arrive.
All orders sent by tracked post or courier will have tracking details emailed on the day of dispatch and those sent by DPD will have a 1hr delivery window sent by text / email on the day of delivery. Those sent by Parcelforce will have pre-delivery notifications by sms if a mobile telephone number is provided. All courier deliveries must be signed for although most services allow parcels to be left in a safe place if authorised by the receiver via their tracking details. We cannot do that on behalf of the customer I'm afraid.
If goods are refused on delivery or returned to us as unable to deliver after several attempts, we reserve the right to deduct costs from the amount refunded. Current refused delivery return costs are £8 per parcel. See Returns page for more info.

Please Note: AB postcodes and the DD8 postcode can be classed as 2 day delivery areas by the couriers due to the greater distances the delivery vans have to cover in these areas.
Overseas - We do ship orders internationally but ask you to contact us by phone or email for a quote as the goods must be weighed and have the dimensions taken to determine an accurate shipping cost.
Orders placed before 2pm will be dispatched on the same day if you choose 24hr delivery. Although 2pm is the official cut off time for order processing, the couriers usually come around 3.30pm and we are packaging goods right up until they have closed the van doors. Most orders up until 3.30pm will be processed the same day but this may not be the case during busy times. We pack orders on a first come first served basis so it's best to get the order in ASAP or call us to check despatch time if it's urgent.
The quickest method from a processing point of view is ordering online as this speeds up the dispatch of your goods considerably. All orders are carefully picked and packed in the warehouse and well packaged to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
A confirmation email from the shipping company will be sent once your order has been processed and the consignment collected by the courier.
Virtually everything we sell is kept in stock and if we are out of stock of something we will let you know ASAP.
